fnatic prevents two in a row for China

China did not get two victories in a row at World Esports Masters, as fnatic won their first match at the event, with a 17-13 score line.

China hoped for a second win here on the first day of the tournament. TyLoo had just secured the first one by defeating MYM, wNv.cn could keep the winning-streak going, with a win against fnatic. wNv.cn started as CT and in the pistol-round managed to take down the Swedish players, but not in time to defuse the bomb and the round went fnatics way. The first half was paused a long time, due to a PC-problem over in the wNv.cn camp. Once the match was resumed, it was the Chinese team to take turn picking rounds. First half went fnatics way, in a 9-6 favor.

Second half, wNv.cn had a pretty good read on fnatics defensive setup, managing to get secure takeovers one the bomb-sites again and again. The Swedes was able to regain control of the match, helped greatly by Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund. At the score 15-13 he was able to bring home a very crucial round, all by his own, bringing the score to 16-13. In the end, the Swedes managed a 17-13 win, cashing in their first three points of the group stage.
